The Old school series was set up last year by me and a few mates who raced at Braintree last winter, we was gutted when we couldnt race anymore at Braintree because the race day changed to midweek, so we got together and formed the OSS, which is basically a series of races over the season for the Old School. It became very popular this summer just gone, culminating in an invite to the Brits in August.
We averaged 15 riders at each round with over 30 riders turning out at Hersden.
The rules of the OSS mean that 24" bikes cant be used in the series, but we abide by each tracks rules, so unless the track bans cruisers in the OS class you can run it.
Have a look here for loads of info on OS racing

Ratty, help me out here. What does that mean? |
Let me help a bit here Ian. What Ratty's saying is get your lardy a**e back on a bike and have some fun!! 20" or 24" doesn't matter as it's more about having s**t loadsa fun when you're past the prime of yoof and don't want to mix it with the BIG boys. And it's about crossing the line ahead of Ratty and showing him a middle finger to signify that you haven't broken yours!! Humps |
Sounds to me like the Humps V Coach Farr challenge has been signalled, will coach Farr accept the challenge????......dont let us down Ian!!!!

..... and since I showed him where to stick his flags" you meant to say didn't you Ian. Forget the "let's discuss tactics" ploy to swerve away from your lame excuses. Braintree will get their a**es whooped by any club from the mighty SOUTH Region, so learn to live with it!!
Little test for you Ian - Rearrange these words:-
Chance Braintree No Have
Humps

Braintree will get their a**es whooped by any club from the mighty SOUTH Region
Come on Humps
Here's the facts
2007 British Champs
TEAM SUMMARY
RANK NAME TOTAL
1 South West 966.5
2 East Anglia 951.5
3 South 862.5
4 North 861.5
5 Midlands 835
1st to 2nd = 15 points
2nd to 3rd = 89 points
Let me explain tht in Kentish terms - The South got thrashed
Still it will be good to see you back at Braintree after so many years. I shall buy you a cup of tea and a slice of cake to help ease the thrashing.

As much as the points should speak for them selves you have overlooked one major thing!!!!!!
The OSS class at the Brits was not included in the final points, had this have been done you would find the top 20 riders in that were mainly South riders, now that would have evened it up a bit I feel |
But again Rattster my old buddy, the old school race at the Brits was pretty much an open class if i remember correctly whereas all the other classes had to qualify for the Brits, also add our 2 illustrious Braintree riders that rode in very great style too at the fore mentioned event(yeah I can do posh talk:wink:) and were pretty much ontop so decided step aside for the old school boys, think about it Ratty........If Jon and Jools hadnt stepped aside we'd have had 1st & 2nd place in that too
fair point????? see ya sunday big man

Well done to everyone at the Club and to all the riders that braved the conditions today. Frost just wrecks Essex clay no matter how you try to deal with it. Good to meet up with a few of you guys and gals today but where were Team Apache (apparantly it's Apachi) and that Gladwin fella?? Fairweather riders/watchers I suspect.
I'm pleased to say that after an awful long time I'm finally debtfree having caught up with Demonic from whom I bought a couple of tyres last Spring I think it was - and I've been avoiding him ever since!! Humps _________________ That'll be Alan Humphrey then!!
