Hello

As you may know the main site has been changing slowly. There are so many things which registred users can do.

Post Events
Submit Articles
Submit pictures to the gallery
Submit Weblinks
Sign and Guest Book
View The Weather
Submit Items For Sale
View Club News.

and .. The forum is a excellent popular place and is the missing key to integrate into the main site. As you are aware you need to manage 2 accounts. Also the adverts are not really apropriate. At the mo i'm looking at "EVERYONE SAVE YOUR LOVER" hummm ...

This forum is a brilliant tool and is really well used. Stu has done a fab job of finding a need a filling it. This forum has served us weill But its usually the same people creating the posts and we are not pulling in new users.

I have added a new test forum on the main site called "test forum"

The test forum offers loads of functionality. Advert free. Each user can have there own profile and easy to upload pictures Emotions ect.
Take a look see what you think. You will need to sign in on the left side to be able to post. If you have a account already just sign in.

I Will need some admins to help out (if successful) in the forum. Stu - Jools - anyone else

I'm hoping this will pull in the new club members and users to get them involved in the club.

Any help needed or personnal views email me at "r y a n @ s p i r x . n e t "

I have been working on the site for a while now and its taking shape nicely. But i need your feedback on what works, what you find you difficult ect. Lets get a community going and one place to post the latest info.

If you know joomla and would like to help us out let me know. If you dont know joomla and would like to help out i am willing to point you in the right direction.

I need a few people to post latest events and to keep it ticking over. I'm not around alot of the time and not in on the lastest info.

I have created some "Site Tutorials" on the main menu to help you along the way.

Let me know.
Onwards and Upwards !!
Many Thanks
Ryan -
Hey Ryan.
I think its a great move getting the forum intergrated on the main site.
I'm handy enough with joomla and am willing to do some moderation and stuff if you like.
your sites layout is almost identical to mine apart from the theme lol.

I see you changed the forum from agora which is a good move. Kunena is set to improve greatly with a large development group behind it. And it is simple to use with the basics of moderation the same as this forum.

Email me with what you think.

ps. you could do with adding the login module onto the test forum page.

Do you use comunity builder yet or any capcha plugin?

Tim

Not too sure tbh,can we do something about the outlay of it,I personally think it looks a bit bland and needs some colour added to it,make it more dynamic,I never actually use the homepage, posts are not always up to date, the set out and detail is spot on but again.....it needs brightening up.
All in all,I'm happy for change if the majority want to but,ads apart the forum is like you say Ryan only really used regularly by about half a dozen people all or most of whom are over 20,no yowths on here at all
:(

Hello Stu intent to agree with you. Yes we need some more colour in the whole site really. Has the club. got a colour they use?

Maybe a new colourfull banner to match. But these easy to achieve its getting the correct info and the flow through the site which is the main key.

The homepage can be uptodate if articals are submitted. I'm not allways in the loop to get the latest info. Maybe when we can do a little article in the news letter or somthing to drum up some new site members.

We are getting there. Looking around at the club sites you do tend to laugh :D

Cheers All

Ryan
