Looks RAD!
2nd stright first jump "Table" might want to be 5m as there will be alot of speed coming out the first birm.
But it will still be kid friendly.

Might be an idea Tim, If they make it 5, it can always be trimmed down.
Heres a few pics of the progress.

Had a bit more progress yesterday :D The 1st turn started taking shape, the 2nd straight got flattened and the bases for the new jumps went down. Started cutting out the jumps on the 1st straight and got a few little test runs in 8)

The surfacing has been going well today and they got the 2nd straight done.
The 28 footer has been conquered!!
Will got it done first.

Then Riess did it.

After 4 weeks and 3 days, its done :-D
My childhood dream is complete. I really cant believe weve pulled it off. To say I feel emotional is an understatement, to top all that off my son rode the first complete lap (and then did another 20!!).
I really need to thank Linda Gaine and the Essex 2012 Legacy fund for the money to make it happen, Carol Redgewell for sorting the paperwork for the funding application, EJ Taylors groundworkers for working like trojans and for paying attention to detail when it mattered, the Braintree club committee for having faith in the design (I think it works......), Clark and Kent for their input and advice (ride it yowth!!), and finally my lovely wife and kids for poking up with me not really being home for 5 weeks.
We will be having a gate session from 10am this Saturday, but I'll start another thread for that. You are welcome to ride the track whenever you like, if you go within the next couple of weeks, please make the effort NOTto ride off the tops of the berms until its all settled in, Ta.
Heres some pics of the finished product............
Syd getting the first full lap done. I couldnt see this at the time, there seemed to be something in my eye

Just want to add to this and say a big heads up to all involved with the track work.......Jools especially,as much as he'd love the credit......lets be honest he bloody deserves it....this guy has worked tirelessly over the past couple of years nagging the committee and won them over, along with the track team,Carol and EJ Taylors I honestly think we have the best track in East Anglia, with this in mind the club and its riders can only go forward.
well done all and apologies for anyone I missed!!!
