Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Name: Robert "Bob" Burnes. I don't know when people started calling me Bob, but I know two people in my life that refuse to do so. One of them is my mom. She says she didn't go through 24 hours of labor to give birth to a "Bob." I love you, mom.

Age: 32

Years Racing: 3 years, 2 in nationals (mountain cross) and this is my first year racing BMX.

Bike: My BMX is currently under construction. There's something in the mix here and I'll have it posted as soon as it's built up. :D

My 4X/DS bike is a beautifully made Dialled Bikes Holeshot in Team Blue. What a ride!

Favorite Food: Carne Asada Nachos ....mmmmmm....they're like heaven in you mouth.

Favorite Pro Rider: I've got a few favorites, but the one that stands out right now is Tara Llanes. They told her she'd never walk or move her legs again....she's proved them wrong. I'm looking for Tara to be back on the bike soon!

Favorite Race This Year: I don't have much experience in BMX, but my favorite mountain cross track has to be Redhill. Super hard, very technical. It made me a better, more confident rider for racing on it!

Goals for the season: I've been racing in the Shimano Winter Series in Fontana, CA, USA. I've got 3rd place all locked up with a hope of inching my way into that 2nd place position.
I'll be at the US National Mountain Bike Series (NMBS or NORBA as it used to be called) in the 30+ expert catagory for 4X and dual slalom. Should be exciting as this is the largest catagory and most competitive catagory in the NMBS (according to NMBS, Decline Magazine,Bluewolfevents.com, MTBR.com and MBAction.com)! I want to be in the top 5 at the end of the season in the NMBS and I want a top 5 finish at the Sea Otter! WOO!

I'll also be competing for state titles in Nevada and California for BMX (Cruiser class boys 30-34 expert). Another goal is to do well in the local series here at Nellis BMX and Boulder City. Top 5 finishes all around would be excellent. :)

Any Tips for the Masses?: Have fun racing. Smile. Take your losses as well as your wins. Push yourself and never give in!
