Well my wifes Multipla may well be for the chop which is a shame as it's dead handy for getting the bikes about and what I usually would use.

I have a hatch mount for my car that someone gave me but it's not been a great success. Aside from looking decidedly dodgy the first time out it took the paint off my lovingly restored oldskool Quad as the grubby bike jiggled about all over.

So I'm thinking of one of them roof rack mounted carrier things instead like this http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_253917_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_38300_crumb_33980_parentcategoryrn_38300#

Anyone used this set up on BMX? Any issues? Just trying to save some faffing about.

Steve

I copied Humps and got (think this is what it's called) a MaxRaxx. That was about 5yrs ago and what a great bit of kit it's been. Got mine fron GK motor factors on North Staion Rd. You may want to try Thule as they do some good ones too.

I also have MaxRaxx, brought about 2 years ago and agree with gladders its a great piece of kit. Mine will fit up to 4 bikes and fits to the tow bar, you can open the boot/rear door without removing the bikes from the rack. Hope this is of some help.

Mine is actually from Pendle Bikes http://www.pendle-bike.co.uk/ . Not the cheapest but arguably the best. With one adaptor plate attached behind the tow ball I can use the triple-bike platform when required and, if I'm towing the trailer, I can use the same plate to insert two bike-bars and carry two bikes over the top of the hitch. Personally I prefer having the bikes on these type of racks rather than the ones attached solely to the boot/hatch as I've heard too many stories about mishaps. A personal thing. Humps
